Kathlene was born in 1984 in Wurzburg, Germany but has spent most of her life living in Northern New York. She writes poetry as a way to heal from post-traumatic stress disorder. At the core of her writing is brevity, rhyme, and storytelling. She creatively writes about the impact of post-traumatic stress disorder on her life and how she has fought to overcome struggles with her mental health. "She Planted Her Own Flowers" is her first publication and a tribute to the years of work she has devoted to healing in therapy. It takes the reader on a journey through her recovery, beautifully capturing the strength she has cultivated.
