I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. I wrote my first poem when I was seven years old, and stories have been finding their way into my head ever since. I live in East Texas with my husband of nearly forty years, surrounded by a wonderfully close family that includes our grown children, grandchildren, and enough cats to keep life interesting. In my professional life, I develop learning products and have a Ph.D. in Learning Technologies, so in one way or another, words and storytelling have always been part of what I do. I’ve written three novels, two of which are currently published: New Mercies and my newest release, Running from the Storm. I’m especially drawn to stories about ordinary people facing difficult seasons—grief, loss, broken relationships, questions of faith—and discovering that hope and redemption can show up in unexpected places.
