Jeremy Dwyer

Jeremy enjoys reading adventure stories like Treasure Island and The Hobbit, as well as horror stories like those of Edgar Allen Poe and Stephen King and some Greek Mythology. Aside from books, he enjoys playing tabletop board games like Dominion, Smash Up, Star Realms and Forbidden Island. In grade school, Jeremy looked at maps and globes and had the idea to write a story about the oceans...to have lots more of them, to make them give magic powers, including light, darkness, spirit, time, stone, music and more. School, work and family all came first, so the story would have to wait for decades. In his early forties, Jeremy eventually found the time to write nine actual books exploring the magic oceans and chronicling what happened when their powers were used and misused. This required developing an entirely new planet, with its own history, mysteries, heroes, villains and even songs, which are the most versatile form of magic. As part of his writing his books, Jeremy devised the lyrics to sixty-six original magic songs for key dramatic scenes. Just a few of the musical powers include enchantment, healing diseases, summoning storms, seeing in darkness, taming tempests, shattering walls and cloaking armies. Professional musicians composed the melodies and instrumentals, provided vocals and produced.
