I'm J.E. and I live in the north by the sea, with my partner Anton in a garret full of books and B-Movies. I write dystopian science fiction and love Orwell, Poe, Plath and The Brontës. I studied Criminology at university and am obsessed with both true crime and crime fiction, especially writers like Jo Nesbo, Henning Mankell and Steig Larsson. When I'm not writing, I can be found behind my sewing machine or now and again, singing in a pub. I love anything vintage whether it be clothes, films or vinyl. Punk, Soul and Jazz form the soundtrack to my days and I love nothing more than sitting back and watching a Hitchcock film. I have currently published three books as part of a dystopian series, The Nemo and Co series, "The Vanishing Office", The Ghost Society" and "The Kill Switch". I'm currently working on the fourth book in the series, "The Dark Cygnet Files". I've also just published the first book in a detective series, "The Lamb". The book follows Detective Kate Monroe and her colleagues, as they attempt to track down a killer who is obsessed with "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse." I'm working on the first draft of the follow up at the moment.
